Synopsis:
In Lopera, a small village in Jaén, the promise of the green transition turns into a nightmare. The centuries-old olive groves, which have witnessed generations of farmers, are being uprooted to make way for mega solar farms, in an unequal struggle between large corporations and a community that refuses to be displaced. Through first-hand accounts, striking imagery and an in-depth analysis of the current energy model, *Renovables Forzosas* reveals how progress, without proper planning and with no respect for rural life, can turn into an unprecedented ecological, social and economic disaster.
