There are many reasons why one might be and feel proud to live in a village. Riogordo has a thousand and one reasons. Ángeles and Paco tell us about some of them, inviting us to enjoy the essence of things: everyday life, nature, peace, hospitality and friends. The good things that surround us, which we sometimes fail to seek out and appreciate. All it takes is a bit of common sense to lead a fulfilling life, full of calm and happiness, surrounded by the things that really matter and help us grow – such as nature and all the benefits of living in a town with great opportunities that are, moreover, just waiting for you.

I wrote and directed this short film in 2023, with the additional aim of making it a tool for raising awareness and supporting the return of young people to rural communities, through a promotional campaign commissioned by Riogordo Town Council in Málaga – a lovely town full of life and good people.

Today, here on our Bordonada Films channel, it also has a new platform to continue making its voice heard, featuring the wise advice of Maria Ángeles and Paco, and now with English subtitles so it can reach a much wider audience.
